Cat® Shaft jumbos come in two styles: slung-to-surface and installed on the galloway. Because of the various requirements of shaft sinking operations, Cat shaft jumbos are built to customer's specifications. They are offered in a 1-, 2-, or 3-boom configuration with electric/hydraulic and pneumatic versions. The electric power unit offers the advantage of lighter weight while the pneumatic power unit is preferred in situations where mine electricians are hard to come by.
